ആരോ പാടിയ പാട്ടിന്‍ പല്ലവിയെന്‍
രാഗസ്പന്ദങ്ങള്‍ തന്‍ കല്ലോലിനിയില്‍ അന്നാദ്യമായി,
ചെറുചലനം സൃഷ്‌ടിച്ച മാത്രയില്‍
അറിയാതെ ഉണര്‍ന്നതാ, നവപുളകങ്ങള്‍, മനോഹരം !

(കുറഞ്ഞത്‌ ഒരു 7 വര്‍ഷത്തെ പഴക്കം എങ്കിലും കാണും ഈ ശകലത്തിന്. കോളേജ് ദിനങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് മുന്പ് ഉള്ളതാണ്. Title ഇതുവരെ ഇല്ല. )

Feynman!

Richard Feynman on 'The Pleasure of Finding Things Out'

The video brought back so many fond memories. The school days, especially the one summer that i spend chasing the works and biographies of this genius... The days with the book 'Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman'... The admiration for this 'eccentric' yet wonderful human being of 'free spirit'...

Somehow I ended up reading about him last week.. a number of firefox tabs were kept open for days... Was reading about stuff like 'Feynman Point', 'Feynman Sprinkler', 'One-electron universe'...

Then tried to find the lectures videos but ended up watching this :

ഗീതാഞ്ജലിയില്‍ നിന്നും...

പത്താം ക്ലാസ്സില്‍ പഠിച്ച കവിതാ ശകലമാണ്. കുറച്ചു ദിവസം ആയി സ്കൂളില്‍ പഠിച്ച കവിതകളോട് വീണ്ടും ഒരു താത്പര്യം. ഇടയ്ക്ക് ഉള്ളതാണ്. എന്നാലും ഇത്തവണ കുറെ നേരം ആ നല്ല കവിതകളുടെ പിറകെ നടന്നു... ഇനിയും കഴിഞ്ഞിട്ടില്ല... ഏതൊക്കെയൊ കവിതകള്‍ ഇടക്കിടെ ഓര്‍മ്മ വരുന്നു. കുറെ ഒക്കെ ജിമെയില്‍ സ്റ്റാറ്റസ് മെസ്സെജസ് ആയി മാറിയിട്ടും ഉണ്ട്. Cubeile white boardilum ഉണ്ട് രണ്ടു വരി എപ്പോഴും. :)

ടാഗോറിന്റെ ഇംഗ്ലീഷ് വെര്‍ഷന്‍ താഴെ ചേര്‍ക്കുന്നു:

മനോഹരമായ വാക്കുകള്‍.

ഒരു കാര്യം കൂടി. ഈ കവിത വെറുതെ ഓര്‍മ്മ വന്നതല്ല. ദേവി ചാറ്റ് ചെയ്തപ്പോള്‍ പെട്ടന്ന് ചോദിച്ചതാണ്. ചങ്ങംപുഴയുടെ 'കാവ്യനര്‍ത്തകി' യില്‍ നിന്നും രണ്ടു വരികള്‍ ആയിരുന്നു അന്നേരം സ്റ്റാറ്റസ് മെസ്സേജ്. അങ്ങനെ തുടങ്ങിയ ഡിസ്കഷന്‍ ആയിരുന്നു. ഗീതാഞ്ജലിയുടെ ആദ്യ വരികള്‍ പെട്ടെന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഓര്‍മ്മ വന്നില്ല. എന്നാല്‍ അല്പം കഴിഞ്ഞു ഓര്‍മ്മ വരികയും ചെയ്തു. ചെറിയ തെറ്റുകള്‍ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു. ദേവി തന്നെ തിരുത്തുകയും ചെയ്തു. നന്ദി!! ഇനിയും തെറ്റ് ബാക്കിയുണ്ടെങ്കില്‍ ക്ഷമിക്കുക. കാണിച്ചു തന്നാല്‍ തിരുത്താം.

ഇതു പോലെ കുറച്ച് വരികള്‍ transliteration ചെയ്തു വച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. മിക്കതും രണ്ടും മൂന്നും വരികള്‍ ആണ്. ഇടയ്ക്ക് പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്യാം.

About the Pile

Well, It feels great to get back to blogosphere. It’s been a year and a half now. My last serious blog post was here. But I have been jotting down stuff here and there.

The break time has been eventful : days of my first job, life in hyderabad, experiments in cooking, getting an iPod, creating my website, a lot into online reading, great coding days, working out a bit, first time (and then a lot of times) on an airplane, guitar lessons, buying lots of books….

Shall try to write about some of these here…

Why the weird name? Well, I don’t exactly know. It came to me in a lightning. Maybe because I’m planning to write about stuff that keep me going (‘powering me’ :) ), Or because my world has pretty much shrunk into a laptop and an iPod powered my modern voltaic piles.
